Privacy Policy
ArdusKey is a verifiable on-device AI voice keyboard, designed so your voice and dictated text stay on your device.
1. The principle
Privacy is built into how ArdusKey works. The core input flow runs on your device: transcription, sentence refinement, and language detection. ArdusKey is designed not to send what you say or what it writes to our servers. You can check this by turning off the network and using the keyboard.
2. Information we do not collect
- Voice — we do not send or store your original audio on our servers.
- Input text — we do not collect what you dictate or the text ArdusKey refines.
- Usage activity — we do not track which apps you use ArdusKey in or how often you use it.
- Advertising or tracking identifiers — we do not collect identifiers used for advertising or device tracking.
- Analytics data — the ArdusKey app contains no external analytics tools that monitor your usage patterns.
3. Network calls and opt-in forms
- Model download — on first launch, the app downloads model weights from our CDN. The download contains no personally identifying information from you. After this, the model runs fully on-device.
- Update notifications — periodic check for new model or app versions. We do not log who checked or when at the user level.
- Beta feedback (opt-in only) — if you explicitly tap "Send feedback" in beta, we receive what you typed in the feedback form, plus your device model, OS version, and app version. Voice and dictation history are not included.
- Beta invitation and launch notice email (opt-in only) — if you enter your email on this website, we store it only to send you a TestFlight beta invitation (in order, as spots open up) and ArdusKey launch updates. It is not linked to voice, dictation, or app usage data.
- Website analytics — this website (arduskey.com) uses Google Analytics to measure visit statistics such as page views and traffic sources. It applies to the website only — never to the app or keyboard — and involves no voice or dictation data.
4. Retention and deletion
We delete your beta invitation and launch notice email without delay once both the TestFlight beta invitations and the ArdusKey launch announcements have been sent. We delete it sooner if you ask us to, and in any case within two years of the day you entered it. Deletion means removing the record from the database; we do not keep a separate recovery copy afterwards. If we had added that email to our TestFlight tester list, we remove it from the list at the same time (what Apple keeps on its side follows Apple's policy). Beta feedback is deleted once we have finished investigating the issue for that beta build. Voice and dictated text are never collected in the first place, so no retention period applies to them — anything on your device disappears when you remove the keyboard.
5. Processors we rely on
We entrust the processing of personal data to the companies below, limited to what running the service requires. They are not permitted to use it for anything outside that purpose.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) — website hosting, storage of beta invitation and launch notice emails (D1 database), and bot protection (Turnstile). Entrusted data: email address, connection information
- Google LLC (United States) — website visit analytics (Google Analytics). Entrusted data: cookie-based visit records. This applies to the website only, never to the app or keyboard
- Google LLC (United States) — subscription billing inside the Android app (Google Play Billing) and the billing library’s diagnostic logging. Entrusted data: purchase and subscription status, device and app environment information (model, OS build, language, country, carrier code, and the like). It does not include voice or dictated text
All of these companies host their servers outside Korea, so this information is transferred abroad. If you would rather it were not, do not enter your email in the website form; visit analytics can be refused through your browser's tracking protection. Separately, to invite you to the TestFlight beta we enter your email into Apple's TestFlight — section 8 (Beta testing programs) describes what Apple receives and shows us. If we change processors, we will say so by revising this policy. The core input flow in the app and keyboard — speech recognition and tone refinement — has no processors at all; the processing finishes on your device. Subscription billing on Android is the exception: it goes through Google Play Billing.
6. Privacy officer
Frameout designates a privacy officer under Article 31 of the Korean Personal Information Protection Act.

Questions about how we handle personal data, and requests to access, correct, delete, or suspend the processing of it, reach the privacy officer at the address above; we try to answer within 5 business days. If you need further help, the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee (1833-6972, kopico.go.kr) and the Privacy Infringement Report Center (118, privacy.kisa.or.kr) take enquiries.
7. App Store and platform data
When you purchase ArdusKey through the App Store, Google Play, or Microsoft Store, those platforms collect their own data (purchase records, account information) governed by Apple, Google, or Microsoft privacy policies. Frameout receives only aggregate sales reports — never your individual identity beyond what is required for refund handling.
8. Beta testing programs
If you join the ArdusKey beta via TestFlight or Google Play Internal Test, the platform handles distribution. To invite you to the TestFlight beta, we enter the email address you gave us into Apple's TestFlight (App Store Connect). Apple sends the invitation email; if you accept it, Apple shows us your name, email address, installation date, sessions, and crashes, plus any feedback you choose to send through TestFlight. Apple's servers are outside Korea, and Apple's privacy policy governs what Apple keeps. If you do not want this, simply do not accept the invitation — or tell us and we will remove you from the tester list. You can leave the beta at any time.
9. Children
The ArdusKey keyboard does not collect voice, input text, or usage activity from any user, regardless of age. If a parent or guardian has questions about underage use, contact us.
10. Your rights
Your dictation history and refined text exist only on your device, under your control, and you can clear them by uninstalling the keyboard or clearing your iOS/Android keyboard cache. If you submitted a beta invitation and launch notice email on the website, you can ask us to delete it — we remove it from our TestFlight tester list at the same time.
11. Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy, we will note the change in the app and on this page. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current revision. Latest change (2026-09-08): the website email form now also covers TestFlight beta invitations, and section 8 describes entering your email into Apple's TestFlight.

13. Verifiability
To verify ArdusKey, turn off the network and use the keyboard. If dictation and refinement continue to work, the core processing is happening on your device. If you ever find a core input flow that requires network access, please contact us so we can investigate and fix it.
